For the first time in its short history, the Merredin and Districts Farm Improvement Group (MADFIG) met to participate in a strategic planning workshop.
The aim of the workshop was to develop a clear vision and establish a strategic plan to guide the group over the coming years. MADFIG will finalise the strategic plan in the new year and is keen to release the plan to current and potential members in early 2016.
MADFIG was formed to address agricultural research, development and business issues in the eastern Wheatbelt. It was initially driven by some individual growers and gathered quick momentum with a number of farmers coming on board.
