Yarra Yarra Catchment Management Group
Description
The YYCMG was formed in the mid 1990s, becoming officially incorporated in 1997. It was formed as a response to the rapidly increasing salinity issues in the catchment – and the recognition that a catchment scale approach was required. For the first ten , salinity remained the primary focus of the group, and while salinity remains on our agenda, the purpose of the group is more broadly community based landcare with a focus on sustainable natural resource management and sustainable agricultural practices within our region.
