North Stirlings Pallinup Natural Resources Inc (NSPNR) is situated in the geographical area within the Gnowangerup and Broomehill-Tambellup Shires where the catchment system flows into the Pallinup River system, and the eastern section of the Cranbrook Shire that has the internal drainage system to local lakes.
The group aims to help create a significantly improved social, environmental and economic region for current and future generations. NSPNR is committed to improving the sustainability of the region and its members, by:
• Bringing together people, organisations and information so that communities in the North Stirlings Pallinup region can drive the better management of natural resources resulting in social, economic and environmental sustainability; and
• Inspiring current and future generations through coordination, education and example the benefits accruing from sustainable management of the region’s natural resources.
Since its incorporation in 2002, NSPNR has built on the achievements of its LCDC predecessor, receiving nearly 6 million dollars in funding, with over 90 percent being directed back to on ground works, sustainable farming trials, research and environmental outcomes.
The organisation is managed by a dedicated committee of community members who currently employ two part-time staff, the Executive NRM Office and Administration Officer who manage day-to-day operations and ensure the delivery of strategic outcomes. NSPNRs committee, employees, volunteers and members are committed to ensure the natural environment is both protected and utilised in our region, promoting the practices of sustainable and regenerative agriculture. Our vision is to help create a significantly improved social, environmental and economic region for current and future generations
