The Lakes Grower Group is a sub-group to the Ravensthorpe Agricultural Initiative Network (RAIN). The Lakes Grower Group strives to farm sustainably in their low rainfall areas. The group is interested in soil health, improving crop performance in a drying climate, product performance, Grain Marketing and Soil Mapping.

Since their 2012 inception the Lakes Grower Group have established many trials of great value to the local farming community. Events coordinated by the group include; Lake King Crop Updates, Lake King Winter Walk and the Lake King Spring Field Day on an annual basis. Also coordinate numerous Personal Development Days ie. Grain Marketing, Soil Mapping etc.
