Julianne Hill is an independent agricultural industry professional contracted to two major R,D &E roles in WA.
Julianne is the Grains Research Development Commission Grower Network Co-ordinator for the Western Region and is also contracted to Dairy Australia as their regional manager managing Western Dairy's research, development and extension hub.
Julianne has co-ordinated the GRDC West grower network for over a decade. The GRDC Grower Networks were established in November 2011, with the aim of identifying key issues impacting on the profitability of growers in the western region.
Working with WA's dairy industry, Julianne manages the Western Dairy’s Research, Development and Extension Hub, co-funded by Dairy Australia and DPIRD. The Hub manages several dairy science projects which are integrated with dairy extension and communication. Investing in unique locally-based research activities including pasture seed performance, smarter irrigation and dairy effluent management is helping to increase farmer knowledge and improve business productivity and profitability.

Over 81 MAKATs undertaken by RCSN members
277 issues were further expanded upon (traffic lights), including an assessment and identification of any projects in the past or currently, that addressed top issues
163 scopes written by the RCSN coordinator & submitted to GRDC for RCSN members 217 projects developed to address high ranking issues within each port zone
15 University students employed as casual support, increasing capacity in industry
