Description
The LCDC is a group of farming, community, catchment group, Industry and Shire Council representatives that share a common interest in landcare, environment, sustainable agriculture and communities.
Having been gazetted in 1987, the Dumbleyung LCDC body of work extends over 30 years in the community. It's a local group that has withstood the changes in generations and still maintained a vision of sustainable management of our natural resources and the environment.

Activities/Projects
LCDC led local projects include the Fence & Beyond Road Drainage System Dongolocking Corridor, annual fox shoot, tree planting subsidies and a 1080 subsidy.
The LCDC works collaboratively with the local Dumbleyung Landcare Inc group with both groups crossing into the agricultural context.
They encourage involvement in farm and catchment planning, water and soil monitoring to achieve improved financial and sustainable outcomes in the short and long term on and off farm.

Past Accomplishments
The group received the 2013 Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Award for a community group.
