Precision Ag encompasses a vast array of GPS/GNSS technology, hardware, software and spatial data. Utilising this technology well requires some knowledge of each of these components. With a better understanding, you can begin to use the technology to solve management issues and make your business more profitable, such as through operations like variable rate.

In collaboration with GGA and SPAA, and funded by GRDC, Farmanco will present a one day introductory precision ag workshop as part of the national project, HOPAT or ‘Hands On Precision Ag Training’. This is a connect the dots session that will cover the basics of PA hardware, take a look at software options and how you manage data, cover the various types of spatial data growers have access to and where they might be useful, and a grower discussion on their experiences with the technology.
