Icanrural: Herbicide behaviour workshops – Merredin
March 26 @ 8:00 am - March 27 @ 5:00 pm
$275These workshops will be delivered by ICAN Senior Consultant Mark Congreve and will take agronomists on a deep dive into herbicide modes of action, including the biological pathways and environmental factors that influence herbicide performance and interactions that may occur when products are mixed. Water quality, adjuvant choice and spray quality are also popular discussion topics.
Herbicide resistance is changing product use. In many situations, products and mixtures that previously worked are now less effective on resistant populations, while different mixtures and double knock strategies have become increasingly important.
Residual herbicides have become a mainstay of many herbicide programs. Balancing the desire to maximise efficacy, minimise the risk of crop injury and manage rotational crop options is also a key focus of the workshop.
Participants will leave with a better understanding of the key factors dictating herbicide performance and what can be done in the paddock to ensure weed control is maximised.
Cost is $275 (GST inclusive) per workshop.
Workshops commence at 8am on day one and will finish by 1pm on day two. Click here for details and registration
