A self-paced online course ideal for committee members or staff of not-for-profit organisations. The online format allows participants to learn from the convenience of their home or office, featuring 3 modules of content. Three optional live Q&A sessions with the instructor are available over six weeks for additional support.
Dates
5 August – Course commences with an online orientation session. Participants then work through the modules at their own pace.
19 August – Midway check in with an online Q&A session.
2 September – Course concludes with a final online Q&A session.

Format
This e-course includes approximately nine hours of study, with all content available upfront. While participants are free to work at their own pace, it is recommended to complete one module per week and the additional support of the 3 online sessions mentioned above are also available for each participant to join.
Note: Late enrolments are accepted; however, participants are responsible for catching up and staying engaged in the learning process.

Module 2 – Financials and Strategy

Participant Time Commitment
It is recommended to spend at least 1 hour every week (9 hours total including the 3 support sessions).
You will need:
- Time to read, prepare and reflect on fundamental governance principles (allow up to 1 hour)
- Time to view modules (1 hour) and support resources
- The ability to attend or playback three online support tutorials
- To apply the knowledge gained from each module to strengthen and improve your not-for-profit organisation.
Note: All course material is accessible for 6 months following course completion.
Community Groups Welcome
The GGA Governance Training Program is sponsored by the CBH Group as part of their Regional Community Investment Program, and is also open to anyone involved with not-for-profit groups outside of the agriculture industry, such as school P&C’s, footy & swim club boards, RSLs, regional community event committees etc. The cohort is enriched by a diverse mix of volunteers from community groups facing common challenges, fostering valuable peer-to-peer experience sharing during the training.

Places
There are 70 places available for the 2025 intake, with 35 spots reserved exclusively for GGA Network members.
The remaining places are open to community leaders and employees of NFP incorporated associations, including those from community and sporting clubs looking to strengthen their governance skills.

Cost
This course is free of charge for staff/committee/volunteers of regional WA not-for-profit organisations.

Tuition and inclusions are valued at $330 per person.
