The Australian Hebicide Resistance Initiative (AHRI)

AHRI is a research leader in herbicide resistance and its management.  With major funding from the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and Australian Research Council (ARC), AHRI is focused on sustainable cropping and herbicide resistance in broad-acre farming. AHRI is located at the University of Western Australia and its research activities include the evolutionary biology of resistance in major weed species, through to herbicide and cultural management strategies.

How AHRI can help Grower Groups through partnerships and services:

1. AHRI is able to provide “More crop, less weeds” workshops at the UWA campus for some grower groups.  AHRI also offers grower group individuals the opportunity to sign up to the AHRI e-news which is delivered bi-monthly called AHRIinsight.  This ‘easy to read’ newsletter can be subscribed to by visiting the AHRI website.  www.ahri.uwa.edu.au
