Annabelle Bushell  – Executive Officer

Sarah Houston – Project Leader

Madi George – Administration Officer

Annabelle’s passion for rural and regional communities has mixed farming origins from a family property in the Avon Valley, a formative component to her diverse career. She has a Bachelor of Science with Honours and has worked with pastoralists and land managers, researchers, growers and natural resource management professionals and is a key collaborator across science, community and industry to develop and drive new initiatives.

After completing a Masters studying local food systems across Europe, she returned home and relocated to Queensland where she worked with the horticulture supply chain.

Having returned home to WA and bringing her community & stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen and industry collaboration skills, she is keen to support and sustain the networks that build the intellectual and social capital of our regional communities.

Away from the nine to five she is keen to be amongst the people and landscapes of WA and rediscover the great regional produce from this State.
Sarah joined the Grower Group Alliance in January 2016 and is excited to be working with grower groups, researchers and agribusiness to create a well-connected agricultural industry in WA.

Originally from Tasmania, Sarah has had a passion for agriculture and sustainable food production from an early age. Her family run a vegetable growing operation near Hobart where they grow fresh vegetables to supply the domestic market.

After completing a Bachelor of Agricultural Science with First Class Honours from the University of Tasmania, Sarah started her career in agribusiness banking, working throughout NSW and QLD and gaining exposure to many agricultural sectors.

Sarah moved to Western Australia in 2012 where she has worked extensively in the horticulture and seafood industries, before taking on the Project Officer role at GGA.

Now as GGA Project Leader, Sarah believes strongly in creating networks to improve capacity and productivity within the agricultural sector and rural communities.

Outside of agriculture, Sarah is an keen marathon runner, surfer, skier and traveller.
Growing up in country WA, Madi has developed a passion for the agricultural industry.

Following graduation from high school, Madi completed a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health at Curtin University in 2014, and is currently completing a Master of Science in Dryland Agricultural Systems.

Madi began as the Administration Officer at the Grower Group Alliance in December 2016 and her exceptional organisation and leadership qualities are essential components in ensuring the success and smooth sailing of the day to day operations of the GGA project.
