The Grain Industry Association of Western Australia (GIWA) is an independent member-based industry association formed in 2008 representing the grains value chain in Western Australia. GIWA’s purpose is to grow the value and profitability of the Western Australian grain industry through:

  • Leadership and industry self-regulation (including grain standards)
  • Facilitating communication and information exchange
  • Providing solutions for grain supply chain issues

 

Why the Grains Industry Association of Western Australia Inc (GIWA) want to engage with the GGA network:

GIWA provides administrative and human resource services to the Grower Group Alliance, one of the projects served in GIWA’s portfolio of grains industry RD&E projects along with:

  • WA Grains Industry Strategy 2025+
  • the GRDC and DAFWA WA Agribusiness Crop Updates and Regional Updates (event service provider)
  • the AGI Capacity Building Project
  • the COGGO research fund
  • trade development services on behalf of the Department of Food and Agriculture WA, and
  • the Grower Group Alliance

GIWA is co-located in the Baron Hay Court, South Perth grains hub with the Australian Export Grain Industry Association.
