Women In Farming Enterprises (WIFE)

WIFE is a vastly spread network of branches with the aim of empowering women involved in farm enterprises to reach their full potential when working within their businesses. A vibrant membership based organisation operates and covers areas from Cranbrook out to Varley, up to Dowerin, over to Victoria Plains and along the way, picks up many other locations. The branches stay connected through WIFE Inc which facilitates the network and assists branches to achieve their individual goals, driven by members, through the accessing and sharing of information.

Current Activities

The organisation continues to grow in numbers. A part time Executive Officer assists with support for branches and the WIFE Inc committee. Branches hold meetings on a regular basis throughout the year. Industry partnerships are continually developing and evolving and these assist with providing the economic sustainability of the organisation along with forming relationships within industry which benefits members.

Past Activities and Accomplishments

The Annual Seminar, hosted by a different WIFE branch each year, is held in October and is a highlight of the year for members. It provides them with an opportunity to gather, listen to some engaging presentations on topics of interest, network with other members and meet with sponsors. The 2017 Seminar is in Ongerup and the 2018 one will be hosted by Dowerin branch.
